Nerdery, a leading digital consultancy, today announced its director of strategy, Taqee Khaled, has been named a 2019 40 Under 40 honoree by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The annual award highlights 40 leaders under the age of 40 who are based in the Twin Cities and work in various industries. After receiving nearly 500 nominations, the Business Journal editors selected the honorees based on who has demonstrated outstanding professional achievement while also giving back to their communities.
"Taqee has played a major role in Nerdery’s maturity to a full-service digital consultancy,” said Adrian Slobin, Nerdery CEO. “With his cross-industry background as both a management consultant and a corporate strategist, Taqee has helped Nerdery partner with our clients to make their businesses thrive in these days of perpetual change."
Taqee is the founding leader of Nerdery's strategy practice, consisting of business model and digital product strategy, as well as offerings spanning customer experience, data, digital and enterprise architecture strategy. He leads a team of innovation experts and business consultants who guide clients through the digital transformation process, like helping a hundred-year-old $3 billion manufacturer reinvent its industrials segment through the Internet of Things.
“I am honored to be listed among the incredible honorees of the 2019 40 Under 40 class, and I’m fortunate to work with a dedicated and hardworking team that’s eager to make a difference in the Minneapolis tech community,” said Khaled. “They inspire me to play a bigger role in advancing the business of our clients and the lives of our neighbors.”
Prior to joining Nerdery, Taqee held leadership roles in healthcare innovation and diversification at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, and strategy consulting at West Monroe Partners and Accenture. His background includes advising on strategic and digital transformation, financial performance and human capital for startups and Fortune 50 companies. Taqee is a minority partner at Imagine Deliver, a service design consultancy serving the civic sector, and a board member for the M Health Fairview Foundation and the City of Saint Paul's Planning Commission, where he helps plan and build a more equitable and thriving environment.
Taqee joins more than 680 alumni who have been recognized over the years as 40 Under 40 honorees. These notable, young leaders have since become CEOs, elected officials and community leaders around the region. This year’s recipients will be honored at a March 21 evening reception and also featured in the March 22 40 Under 40 Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal publication.
